What did you do on or to your other bike part 2
So, third can of paint arrived. Taking it out of the box, there was evidence on the tip of the spray nozzle of some silver, so I think they were telling me "Hey, we actually squirted some out of this one before we sent it to you, and yes, it's actually silver this time."

Yay! Yesterday, I pulled the silver fairing panels off, scuffed and shot them, and... well... it was a good match for the original color, but had a lot more flake in the paint than I'd prefer. It was quite sparkly. I stared at if for a long time, and came to the conclusion that I didn't really want to live with it. So, after all of that waiting, I stripped that paint off, and dug through my paint cabinet.

I had recently picked up a can of Glidden spray paint in a color called "Shining Armor", which looked like a "warmish" silver. In the back of my head, I thought if I never got resolution on the factory match color, I'd give this one a try. I shot this paint on the fairings, and am very happy with the outcome. It's about the same shade of silver as the original, not as stark silver as the wheels and other trim bits. The sheen is satin, like the originals, and if I scuff or scratch them, I have an easy touch-up solution that won't require waiting and possibly getting something blue.

I have new Honda emblems coming for them to replace the black decals that were on the silver fairings originally. I thought the decals looked a little cheap, and will see how actual emblems look.
