Did a few things today. I’m quite bummed that Lidlox went out of business. I like their bar-end helmet locks, and have them on each of my bikes. They are keyed alike so I just need to carry one key whichever bike I’m riding.
I had a leftover lock but didn’t have a spare housing to put the lock in to mount on Superbird’s handlebar (my NC750X)
I scanned EBay and found a similar kit that’s a knock-off of the Lidlox. I bought one and gambled that my lock cylinder that matches my others would screw into the aluminum housing on the EBay model.
It did screw right in, so now I have a bar-end helmet mount on all four bikes and still just need one key.
Also, since Saturday is my birthday, I headed to Santa Ana to pick up part of my favorite traditional birthday dinner. I love tamales and chorizo sausage, so I headed to Ochoa’s Chorizo on the Triumph to pick up a length of their famous jalapeño style. Yummy!
As a side note, Ochoa’s is near Main and Warner and is next door to All American Racers, Dan Gurney’s race car factory and development center. Wonder if he ever bought chorizo there back in his day?

You know what? I actually would like a pickle.
