Our college recognizes Veteran's Day and so with no work and a beautiful day it wasn't hard to figure out what to do. I've been riding the W800 and the DR650 a lot lately...time for the CB1100. Last few weekends I've been doing trail riding and non-paved surfaces. Today was for the hiway. Got on I-84 and rode east to The Dalles, crossed the Columbia and took hiway 14 back west.
That's 14 below, far left, just under my mirror. It's a lot more relaxing to ride it than 4 lane 84 on the OR side.
A gaggle (flock?) of turkeys ran across the road, about 30 in the photo, but I'd say there were at least 50. They ran single file to cross, very funny looking

Rode 175 miles and just under four hours

Likely today was my last opportunity of the year to ride in mid 50s, no rain, and lots of afternoon sunshine.
Thanks to all the Vets for your service!
