After I removed the fenders from my CB, I used degreaser and steel wool to remove any bituminous material, dirt and some minor rust that accumulated under the fenders. I then washed the area with dish detergent and water. After the fenders dried, I used a foam paint brush to coat the fenders. After the fenders coating dried overnight, I spread a 2nd thin coat to assure that any missed spots are covered. https://imgur.com/gv3BU5a

That POR15 is some of the best stuff I have ever used for rust. When I restored the frame on my 1977 Chevrolet pickup in highschool I used it on the entire frame and it still looks amazing 10 years later. I even used it on the leaf springs and the paint is still stuck on solid. Considering a leaf spring flexes often you would think the paint would peel off easily but it still looks amazing. Plus I use this truck to haul firewood from my woods so it gets plenty of offroad time and full of mud. Pressure wash it off and it comes back to a glorious black. 10/10 would reccomend the product. Just do NOT get it on yourself as it takes months to come off.... don't ask me how I know  Hilarious
