Yeah, with the sunny weather, waves and a surfing contest going on right next to the pier, there were a ton of drones in the air to catch the action. Hopefully the sponsors were satisfied. Yeah, it's a lot of bikes, and I would not consider a large group ride other than this one. It got a little messy.
It was interesting to chat with another CB1100 owner. I asked what his most common comments are, saying that when I take mine to local car gatherings I get hit with tons of questions. He said that the most common thing he gets is people offering him cash for the bike, even at gas stations. It's a rare beast, even here in SoCal.
Prophetic perhaps. I got a lot of questions at the kick-off, and probably the biggest compliments from the guy on a tricked-out Harley DeLuxe who was parked next to me on the pier for the kick-off. When we got to the finish point, as I was parking, another rider came up and asked "Are you by any chance thinking of selling?"
