I well remember the helmet controversy started by the articles in Motorcyclist. I believe Arai may have been the one that initially dropped their ads there. Strange that the tests concluded that two of the least expensive DOT full face helmets offered the best impact protection. The article concluded that the old Snell standard had placed too much emphasis on resistance to shell penetration thus mandating a harder shell with less energy absorption.
The whole incident makes me more appreciative of Motorcycle Consumer News and their no advertising format.
