Good point, about a flat tire! I forgot to mention, that due to the fact that Winter has descended on us in NE Pa, I haven't had the bike out of my garage, since I brought it home last Thur night!...
In the meantime, I've been making a few changes: so far I've swapped out the stock muffler for a smaller one, but it's much louder so not sure I'll keep this one on there? But, I also found that when I removed the stock muffler, the center stand now hits the chain!
Hence, my justification for "lighter is better"!!
I'm also working on shortening the rear turn signal stalks, as I think they stick out too far?!! Someone mentioned in another thread that DOT regs dictate the length of the turn signals! So, that may be an issue here in Pa. as well??
In the meanwhile, I'll continue to play with the appearance/sound of my new toy. I hope it helps me get thru the Winter??!!
So, I hope someone who reads this will enlighten me as to how big a project it is to remove the offending part?!!
