MikeD, if the URL to the photo doesn't end in ".jpg" (my quotation marks) it is very unlikely it will display on the forum. To get from Flickr that you can use here, open the photo and click on the share arrow at the bottom right of the picture. You'll get a window inviting you to share the photo. On the second line, one of the options is 'BBCode'. Select it and copy the code you can see. It will look like:

You can then paste that directly into your post and the picture should display like this random picture of a CB1100 I found on Flickr.

Indeed, to let you into a secret, if you were just to paste the following into your post, you'd get the same result. The forum software only wants a link to a URL displaying a picture. But you can do enough editing, I reckon!
