Final note: My Griso has the Beetle map (named after one several gentlemen from around the world that developed a map to improve the engine response for drivability). Map was tweeked for folks with rollerized bikes. I have had the new map so long I really can't remember what the bike was like before! However; typical mileage is around 42mpg where the CB can do 50+. Being a bit of a cheapskate I like my bikes to be cheapskates too. Our Outback gets in the high 30's on the road (touching 40+ in some stretches) and it has heat and AC, music, better seats and quieter. How can I justify the Griso on a trip if a car is just a cheap to operate and is tons more comfortable?
It doesn't help that the wife refuses to ride with me.
So I find myself doing day and weekend rides - no touring. Which I kinda fancied myself doing once I retired; guess I'm aligning my toys with reality. sigh.....
Also; there have been what I consider a LOT of folks getting the CB and the Griso (not as many owned both at the same time, most seem to go from the Griso to the CB). Naturally with Guzzi having killed off all the CARC bikes and Honda being very spotty with production on the CB this is becoming rarer.
