The only thing I remember when switching from HJC to Shoei Neotec II is the Shoei has a metal latching mechanism vs HJC plastic....doesn't mean it works any better but it should?
I really wanted the integrated intercom, internal sun visor and pin lock
I do like that with a modular you can "spread" the helmet a little to go over ear buds/plugs.
I also like if you're trying to talk to someone, you don't have to take your helmet off for them to see your mouth and somewhat read your lips.
The only real complaint is it's not water proof with the visor down and locked. Rain runs down the inside of the visor. Granted it was pouring but for the money I'd think it should be waterproof.
Called Shoei they said if I shipped it to them (CA) they would try to "refit" the visor, but I never did.
