My Bell Zephyr full face was no quieter than my HJC CS-5N open (3/4) helmet.
It also was no warmer in the winter.
Wife and I had Shoei S-20 full faces, purchased in 1976 for $45, each, from a Honda dealer, new! They were good, especially for their time.
I have tried on many full faces and none are comfortable to me, so I have no recommendation, other than a good experience with Shoei.
My 3/4 gives me a wider view, better air flow in 110 + F weather, I can also communicate better and the sun visor is very helpful. Probably not the choice for most and the negative is riding in rain or hail.
