I just waxed my Triumph-branded Barbour International back in the spring.
There could be an issue in hot climate in regards of the jacket "trapping" dirt as the wax heats up. Not sure. I don't wear it in the summer.
Nevertheless, during cooler (and in my case cold) usage, water repels off, they look kinda 1960s British cool, and probably most importantly: They are light, even with the riding armor installed.
That said, the con I find is the fabric is vulnerable. So don't plan to spill while riding.
