Another option expressed by other forum members in regards to the Cardo Freedom+ models is to use the optional JBL drivers.
I don't, and the packaged speakers that come with the Freedom+ model are not great. Riders who purchased the JBL speakers "swear by them" that they sound superior.
Better than in-ear buds, I wouldn't know.
