I got to try calamari at a small port town in Oregon a couple years back in a Chinese dish. It was OK. Just weird.
I'm known to be a picky eater so my wife was shocked. I'm still a picky eater but expanding my horizons just a wee bit. I'm usually don't avoid small mom & pop joints (rarely a bad one, but this is out west
). But I can be fond of Denny's for the exact reasons Ferret is. There are times when you want comfort food and Denny's, AJ's, Perkins etc. provide that.
