Certainly possible. I'm sure there's some simple explanation. It's just that none of my other bikes have ever done it to this extent. When the gas is at the bottom of the filler neck on my VFR, that's where it stays. It might take one or two more quick squeezes of the handle but that's it. My other bikes have been the same. Not a problem with the CB. Just an interesting observation.
Interesting. Both my CB750 and the CB11 exhibit this descending fuel thing. Both have similar filler necks.
It used to drive me nuts until I figured out that all the little squirts of fuel that I added to top it off after the initial settling added up to less than 1/10th of a gallon.
I've always thought it was what ES pointed out. Air escaping as the fuel settles in the tank.
