When my friends (and lifelong riding companion) mother was losing the battle with cancer I spent a bit of time with her. Good lady with wicked sense of humor. She was laughing, and pleased, that my friend had a son "who was just like him growing up".
Thanks! I'm embracing it and now going to do everything I can to help my son be a competent, safe rider. That's really special that you spent time with your friend's mom under those circumstances. I hope my mom shares her reaction to my son becoming a motorcyclist.

Thanks quietguy! My son takes the written test today at the DMV and, assuming he passes, will officially have his M1 certification added to his license.
