I didn't discover MotoGP on TV until halfway through the 2012 season and WSK until this year, so I can't compare current racing to the golden days. I just feel fortunate to watch every race and re-watch the good ones.
I was amazed to see the Malaysian rider Pawi in Moto3 practically lapping the field. Was this a one time fluke? I guess we won't know until he appears on the line again late in the season. Moto2, with identical engines, has often been the least interesting race of any given weekend. What does that say?
Ever since PI, I've seen Rossi in a different way. Mind games are one thing but character is another. And VR seems to have a side I don't much admire. But no one can dispute his skills.
Bring on Austin!
