I own a Harley Fat Boy and a Harley Sportster AND a Bonnie America.
ALL of them are nice motorcycles. I do not agree the America is a wantabee Harley. It's nothing like the Harley bikes. It's not even a V twin.
If you would want to call any bike a want to be you would have to at least pick Honda's or Yamaha V twins well before the parallel twin bikes like the America.
I've heard fellows compare the Thunderbird to the Harley Dyna line and I'll agree they might compare in size but beyond that again really not close. The largest Yamaha cruiser (forget the name) might be the closest Harley to a Harley
But what's the point? Ride what you like. They all are some what similar in that they have two wheels and are FUN.
