The latest Motorcycle Consumer News has an article on accident rates. Based on 2014 data, motorcycles have a 2600% greater fatality rate per 100 million miles than cars. 22.96 vs 0.85. I didn't find a relevant date for the data in the link.
Fatalities and injuries are getting better for cars (well duh, crumple zones, air bags, protective cage etc. while get - zip).
Down right scary! Perhaps not enough to talk me out of riding, but it was a cold slap in the face none the less.
