My experience with HD riders is like this:
- HD owners, who ride a lot, usually had non-HD bikes before they can afford an HD. They bought their HD to ride. They are pleasant to talk to and hang out with. They are not afraid of saying things that they don't like about their Harley. Some even offered to join me and we rode together.
- HD owners, who buy a Harley because they want to join THE cult, treat anything non-Harley as junk. They swear by the name of Harley. They won't say anything bad about HD even if other HD owners point out the flaws. They like to appear "tough guys" to others. When I try to start a conversation with these folks, it was kept as short as possible.
