Stereotypes, pondering and I'm not tough enough

I witnessed the same "stop in the tunnel and rev the bikes loud" inside one of the spectacular tunnels overlooking Mt. Rushmore. The behavior is juvenile and sacrilegious, not to mention a traffic hazard. We've become a pathetic, narcissistic society. Fortunately most of these morons are aging out and won't be riding much longer.

I'm afraid that's the truth. It's only wrong if you get caught.

Last summer I backed my CB into a spot that bordered on a park with benches under shade trees. There was a bench a few steps from the back end of my bike.
When I came back an elderly couple were sitting there, but got up to leave when they saw me about to start the bike.
I assured them my bike was quiet and they smiled and sat back down when they heard my muted exhaust note.
I explained that we aren't all like those "others" who are annoying to us too.
