Denver County and I believe the State of Calufornia have laws against tampering with the OE exhaust but heaven knows they're not enforced.
I witnessed the same "stop in the tunnel and rev the bikes loud" inside one of the spectacular tunnels overlooking Mt. Rushmore. The behavior is juvenile and sacrilegious, not to mention a traffic hazard. We've become a pathetic, narcissistic society. Fortunately most of these morons are aging out and won't be riding much longer.
