Some good tips here from some experienced riders. I am like Wisedrum. I wear what I like, mostly ballistic black and a black helmet.
We've already determined I'm a tosser. I like to overtake large groups of parade motorcycles, drive suspiciously fast and I intentionally chose the black checkerboard CB over the regal blue. But I am a very careful and cautious driver. The weave and the high beam are well used.
Does anyone have any experience with light bars on bikes? My buddy has a giant KTM Adventure motorcycle. He wears a high-vis jacket and installed a light bar on this orange and black monstrosity. He swears by it. Though by my accounts he barely resembles a motorcycle anymore.
Does anyone know of one that fits nicely with CB styling? How challenging are they to patch into the CBs electrical system? Obviously you can't ride right up to people with them on at night but in the daytime they are noticeable and you can always flash them in a panic.
The passing flasher on the CB has tempted me a few times but I worry that people will actually misinterpret that as a signal for them to proceed.
