Guy in my local BMW club is just short of a million miles on his K75. Original engine, has only had the top end done. He has ridden over a million miles overall, but his first 30K or so was on his first bike- a Suzuki.
Funny thing, he's I believe 80 or 81 and he didn't start riding a motorcycle until he was 56. He had to wait until his mother passed away because she forbade it! That's a million miles in 25 years- 40,000 every year! Yikes!
