Actually, in this story there are two groups that were harmed by those sociopathic criminals:
1) Toronto motorists that were denied the use of public infrastructure in a major way;
and
2) us - i.e., those that enjoy the use of their two-wheeled vehicles, for fun and profit, and do so with no desire whatsoever to engage in any kind of pack-mentality behaviour harming or inconveniencing fellow Torontonians.
Both groups have every right to demand an answer from Toronto (and OPP?) Police Service to the following question:
Why did you play a spectator to this performance, instead of doing right away what is clearly your job to do - i.e., restore the order and make the public transportation infrastructure available to those that are paying for it (and are paying your salaries...)? Why!? Do you lack resources? Do you lack wisdom? Do you lack courage?
Why none of the numerous media outlets that gleefully reported on the incident never even hinted that Toronto Police/Ontario Provincial Police has some explaining to do?
