Why live, where you live?

The interesting thing about this thread is that we all like different things and have our own set of priorities. It's not clear to me that any of us have chosen where we live specifically for the motorcycling, but rather a combination of things of which motorcycling is one of them (okay, I'd probably have to go back and re-read every post again to be sure of that, lol).

I find the best way to judge my happiness with where I live is by the reaction I have when I've visited a great place away from home and it's time to return. If I look forward to returning home, then I know that I'm doing okay. If not, then I'm probably going to start asking myself some more questions about what my true priorities are.

Here's an offshoot of that situation to ponder, if you no longer rode motorcycles would you still want live where you do? (My guess is that most people would say yes.) Or, what if you could only ride motorcycles in a state where you otherwise wouldn't want to live, would you choose to move or stay put?

I enjoy visiting new places and most everywhere there is much to like. The diversity of opinions on this subject is what makes this forum so interesting and lively.

To answer your question Guth, I would not live anywhere else. As much as I like going new places and meeting people there is nothing that compares to coming home to the place that gives me ease.
