Yeah, yeah, yeah Mr. F. -Appreciate your share for I hadn't thought about those similar memories.
Now, I usually had the "fold across the helmet" (on those helmeted occasions - usually winter), clear, flat snap shield but, on occasion I got the really cool lookin', smoked bubble shield. The newspaper bit I remember from toboggan & sled survival school as a boy - don't recall the strategy coming to mind in college years when it was necessary to actually PLAN recreational time . . . without my mother's help. Had childhood moments where fingers & toes looked like my momma's home-made, Cool-Aide berry Popsicle sticks.
