As has already been said, I think it's a natural progression over time as most subjects have been talked about and debated; mods made and any mechanical problems worked out.
Those of us who experience a winter layup have much to do in the summer; family vacations; home repairs; mowing lawns; tending gardens, etc., - and even getting in some riding
There is usually plenty of things to do to keep us busy.
I'm retired so have lots of time on my hands, but right now I'm painting my garage which takes a lot of time.
