my current GF is an odd situation, her ex husband from like 8 yrs ago is one of my best friends (yeah its weird/not weird), and it also huge into bikes (he has something like 15 now). she never rode with him, ever, but didn't mind he had them. we were dating a few mos (about 2 yrs ago) when she asked me to take her out on the bike. i was kinda surprised but was like 'sure' . she definitely has grown to love it, and her favorite bikes to ride on are, in her order, the t500, the cb1100, the concours, then the 70R5. Ive even had her out 2 up on the 70 Hs1 (90cc twin). Luckily, she has good balance and is tiny. Her first MC ride was at age 42. Shes wants a vespa or cub now, sort of. But, ive heard quite a bit of similar sentiment to this article over the years, but a lot recently from Angie.
Interesting story.
I know if I bought a Vespa or Cub, my partner would ride it. For now, she prefers the back seat. Heck, come to think of it, I'd probably ride the Cub too.
