What a fun “job”! Great you have a dealership friend like that.
I did a similar gig when I helped a friend pick up his new Goldwing in Springfield, Missouri. He hadn’t ridden in more than 30 years but had lots of hours on ATVs and snowmobiles. I helped him ride it back in shifts to Columbus, Ohio. Before we left, we rode around the parking lot of a gigantic church just across the street from the dealership to get familiar. Then, 650 miles home taking turns riding and driving.
The DCT took some getting used to - kept reaching for the clutch - but that is one smooth bike. And features galore. (You’ll see it at the rally.)
Once back on the CB, it felt taller but smaller and just less “there.” I mean, I was just less aware of the CB’s presence.
