Ferret, your appreciation for the blessings life has given you helps put the situation into perspective. It stinks to cut back on riding, but you can look back on a riding and hunting and family life lived fully...hopefully all the great memories take away a bit of the sting.

If I couldn't ride a motorcycle, I'd see if I could still pilot a big 2-wheeled scooter.
