Hey Frulk, speaking of biker hangouts, have you ever been to Legends in Springville? They came out to our Born Free event here in Orange County a few years ago, showing off an old Crocker. It sounds like a really cool place, and I’d like to get up there someday.
I call myself lucky in that I love hanging out with riders to talk bikes and check out what other people ride, and I have plenty of opportunities near me. I’m close to a place called Cook’s Corner here in OC, there are multiple Cycle Gear stores that host bike nights, and we have a good number of annual shows like Born Free, and the DGR. The big, original Cars and Coffee is not too far and attracts plenty of bikes. The L.A. scene is trendy, but there are also plenty of places where “real” riders show up with bikes that aren’t ragged cafe bikes or bar hoppers, or snobby Panigales and Paul Smarts.
Sorta lonely now, of course, but we’ll get back to normal someday.
