I felt another dangerous factor for 90% upright rider like me is the profile change of the new tire compare to the old squared tire. Most of the time after I change to new tires (even same tire model) I will have a sudden shock due to handling change. The bike lean differently, and trail differently during corner. Most time new tires give a fast lean compare to old tires, if going too fast and not paying much attention the bike will go overboard. But 1 thing I do notice about new tires, if I rode it in the rain new, afterwards the tires become sticky the next day, even if I had only rode 5km on it, maybe the rain would have wash the release agent away, or the water activated the sticky compound in new tyre......
