My brother's primary driver for the last 20 years or so has been a Volvo because they have a wagon in their line up that is both sporty and utilitarian.
I always thought that "shooting brake" mostly referred to 2-door wagons, usually of a more sporty style and "estates", "estate wagons", and "station wagons" mostly referred to 4 door wagons. (with notable exceptions of the Chevy Nomand and early Ford Ranch Wagons and a few other less notable exceptions that were just called "2-door wagons" in the US <yawn>
