In the State of New York, a law enforcement officer could request the motor vehicle operator to produce proof of insurance ID card, along with their drivers license and vehicle registration, during a traffic stop or accident. Proof of insurance could be presented in a paper or digital form.
Questions:
1. Does your state require you to have proof of insurance?
2. If so, can the proof of insurance be presented in a digital form?
I ask this because I prefer to stop stuffing my two paper motorcycle insurance ID cards in my super thin Aerostitch Wallet. See: http://cb1100forum.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=13553
I am particularly interested in these requirements in my neighboring states, Canadian provinces, and our 2021 Rally State, Ohio.
