The the western world has developed an extreme adversity to risk in virtually all aspects of life driven in part by compo culture and liability laws. Local Politicians need to be more worldly wise to realise that mega regulated environments like ours will be the downfall of the west (that and Government policy directed by the self entitled Twitter Mob) The populaton are being told risk is bad and if anything bad to you happens in life you are entitled to generous redress at the rest of the populations expense. You will see TV and Radio adverts designed to reduce "some accident or another" being justified with the statement "if it saves one life it will be worth it". This myth perpetuated by politicians or government agencies who have no concept of opportunity cost.
