Saw this at the supermarket yesterday…

Maybe this feels that his bike is so awesome that nobody would dare steal it.

Now that I think about it, bonehead things I do usually result because I'm distracted momentarily from my routine. I pull into parking spot, as I turn key off, somebody waves, I reach up with both hands to remove helmet (key left in ignition), person who waved says nice bike, we start talking, I step off bike so we can appreciate the bike better...and soon there after I'm walking inside the grocery store with key still inserted in the ignition. I pick up a few things my wife asked me to buy, purchase items, wish the checker a nice day and head back to my bike. Then when I get close, I reach for my key, but I get all panicky because it isn't in my right pant pocket where I always put it, it's not in my back pockets, not in my mc pockets...shoot, I retrace my steps, back inside the store I walk up and down the aisles, ask the cashier if she saw a key, go to lost and found, walk back to bike, look all around the sidewalk, the curb, look under the bike, I call my wife so she can bring me the spare ("no, sweatheart! Not THAT one, the other one, geez!"), she's on her way...

...and that's about when I notice where the key is...and I call my wife again... who is already on her way and not answering because she's good about that when driving... so I wait for her...which brings up a dilema for when she arrives with spare key in hand, smiling because she's saved the day:

1. do I tell her I found the key?
2. if so, do I tell her that I actually left it in the ignition?
3. do I not tell her I found the key and thank her profusely for saving the day, and invite her out for dinner?
Undecided
