Maintenance?
Other than fouling plugs or carbon on pistons/heads, there is not much maintenance.

On a Yamaha single, it only takes maybe 30 minutes to pull head and cylinder, remove piston, skirt the intake side (pre reed valves) and re-assemble.
2 strokes are lighter, fire each revolution (more HP), no valves/cams.
