Who uses physical bike locks?

In my 50-some years of riding, I've only locked a bike two or three times, and I lived in SoCal for most of those years. I did have a cable lock to secure the helmet and jacket to the bike, tho, but only used it when stopped in unfamiliar places to keep the odd angsty teenager from messing with it.

Thank you Charlie Bravo for your input. The main reason for the U-Lock purchase is I have planned a two weeks road trip on my CB1100 next summer. I think it´s better to be safe than sorry and use all available options for protection.
