Well done MMC.
Maybe it has something to do with the quality and condition of the road asphalt. Given MMC's success, I reckon he enjoys the best asphalt freeways has to offer in California. Compare that to nor-eastern states/provinces where surfaces buckles and deteriorate annually and take their toll on tires. Just a thought.
Example: Some of the worse surfaces I have consistently seen is in urban NJ, and practically forever in Montreal (since the '70s!). Ann Arbor, MI used to be horrid, but recently they have fixed much of that.
