Thx all and I couldnt agree more with you beardyweirdy about less is more Smile

I already combined the best shots and most important moments and cut the excessive parts out.

The view of the exhausts part is gonna get lill shorter.
Maybe just one or one and a half seconds shorter.
Its about details Smile
But all together I am happy with the length so far.
I do think of cutting away a part of the bottom of that exhaust sequence - namely the center stand.
Or perhaps reshoot it entirely like The ferret suggests.

But you got the bottom line ferret, clicking into gear to take off Smile

17 seconds is good.
But I wanna end with a real class shot.

I just started talking to a friend of mine who from time to time makes professional promo videos with his drone company: http://www.droon.be Smile

I think he can make the perfect finish and I've got an idea already in my head to pick up where I left - 1st gear close up.

The composition starts from a shot similar to this pic but with me on it.

I'm taking off, camera follows me, comes to the side, goes to the front (thats gonna be tricky!), comes to the other side again with a view similar to that of the first shot of this composition but on the right side of the bike.
Basically a 330° or something circle around me while riding Smile
Than the drone rises up in a crane shot fashion, while I accelerate away.
Camera aims towards the sky and the image becomes white.

Lets say that will take up another 5 seconds.
That would make a 21-23 second intro.
Thats a lot, but when done in a very cool/epic way, time doesn't matter Smile

I got a little bit inspired by the build up made by Honda to promote the CB1100EX.

Same idea, clicking into gear and just ride..

Also the Goose bike build up in Max Max came into mind, thats just legendary!

But to make something like that you got to need a car and not a drone Smile
And most importantly, vast empty roads Shy of wich Australia is made of but wich are rare in Belgium..

My only advice so far is get all your shots together and cut it long. Then just pair everything down to its bare minimum. So often, less is more with editing. It's painful but throwing away shots that don't move the story on and cutting shots when they've said what they came to say will improve your film. Pace is everything and once your audience is bored you may as well just stop the film there.
If you want to shorten a scene then cut away to another angle. It doesn't matter if you only have one camera. A shot of the bike from another View point or a shot from the side or the road can be from another day and another place. So long as the light is roughly the same. It amazing what you can get away with. You can also cut in a blank frame of black with your text on it and then cut straight back to the action.
Also, think about what you want people to feel when they've watched your film and cut for that.
Hope that isn't teaching granny how to suck eggs, but thought I'd pass on what I know...

Ps. If you hide a mic in the tail piece, perhaps under the seat, as far back as you can get, you should get wind free exhaust sound. Any mic hanging in the breeze at that speed could well pick up wind noise. Also, the seat should deaden the sound a little and loose the chain and gear box whine.

i just attached a mic directly onto the bottom of my action cam directly, a dedicated mic plug...

Olympus ME-52W Noise-Canceling

And this is the position of the cam, pointing the mic towards the exhaust...

I can hear the exhaust better when in idle or at low speeds, but when actually riding at speed, I can't hear the exhaust, nor wind noise.

So using the stock mic on the cam is actally better, but with annoying wind noises.

I did use the wind noise cover, but i doubt without it it will improve.

The mic did came with a extension cable, so I'll do as you suggest....
