You may be having issues with the variable rate of the video from the GoPro. Video processing can get a bit wonky unless you fix this. Download the free app called Handbrake. Take your GoPro footage you are having a problem with and run it through that. The programme looks very busy but you can ignore 99% of it.

On the video tab set the framerate as same as source.

Choose constant framerate button below this.

Then Start Encode.

One you get used to the handbrake product you will find you can load bunches of GoPro footage and have them all run through automatically in the background while you do something else.

Just choose a different disk location to save your processed files. Now you can use these new files in your video editing and you should no longer have these problems.
