In the other thread ferret mentioned that he compiled a 3-ring binder full of notes when he started out.
I did the exact same thing! I still have most of those pages, and even now after more than 20 years, I sometimes refer to them.
There is no shame in making plenty of notes until the process becomes second nature.
I don't mind admitting that, unless I use a particular computer procedure on a regular basis, I often forget exactly how it goes.
Just remember that none of us were born with all this stuff firmly implanted in our brains. We have to learn it - and then try to remember it
