There is something inexplicably pleasing about the CB1100
#22
Fwiw, my bike has now gone three straights days with zero brake squeal. I wonder whether the significantly warmer temps this past week have anything to do with it?

Whatever the reason, if this keeps up, man, the only thing left to complain about would be the rather meh mileage range. I'd like to see 200 miles from a tank, but so far I haven't been able to squeeze 4.4 gallons from her, and I certainly haven't been able to average 50 mpg over a full tank.

Speaking of warmer temps, for the first time I'm noticing some engine heat as I idle at stop lights. I haven't owned an air-cooled I4 since my '92 FJ1200, which, if memory serves, also gave off quite a bit of engine heat. Otherwise, the only other bike I've ever had that cooked me was my first-year ST1300, which was notorious for baking its rider, even at freeway speeds.

This bike just gave me my first warning tonight that come summer time I might be in for some serious roasting.

Is the CB1100 known to be a two-wheeled bbq?
