maybe it takes time to manifest?

you need 100 cases and a few deaths to begin to take an issue seriously?
It has to start somewhere, who is to say this could be the beginning of a discovery of a design flaw that shows after a certain amount of mileage?

In the US and Canada the EX with spokes wasnt even sold Dodgy

I assume he hasnt had experience with spoke maintenance, but okay, the bike is 5 years old with around 50.000km...I think no one should expect such a failure after that amount of riding time, from a Honda product?

Asside from the this case, there is the German case, but supposedly that had 100.000 km and he rides with loads.
And I just saw an Italian case of a rider that has the same issue, within warranty period.

Mabye, just maybe there is something to be said about Honda quality of today?
The current owner of this CB could also clearly state that his older CB750 had a much better build quality.

I'm a getting a lot of cuss (from time to time) from so called Jap riders about my Italian piece of junk motorcycle, but so far my old CB has experienced much worse real life issues than my Ducati.
I just hope Honda doenst go the German route: all reputation and less real life quaility

So you wanted to come here to the CB forum and try and rub our noses in the fact that Honda's can have issues too? We know that, but they are usually pretty rare and isolated comparatively speaking

On the other hand you are probably getting a lot of sympathy right now over on the Ducati forums, No?

gonna be straight forward to you, since you clearly dont hold back too:
I owned that bike, I loved that bike!
If I had the space and the money to spare I wouldnt have sold it and despite it failures, or 'failures' like you pretend them to be, and I'd still be 'RUBBING YOUR NOSES IN THE FACT THAT HONDAS CAN HAVE ISSUES TOO'...

I know what your problem is, you think I enjoy this because I dont a CB anymore, well you are wrong!
Like I said, me being this critical for Honda stands seperate from me not owning a CB, believe it or not!
You don't believe it, because its impossible for you to comprehend I give such comments towards a Honda product that I dont own, yeah, you are starting to sound like Ducati owners.
Minimizing issues and attacking those who are honest about it.
Low.

Ow how I wished I have kept it, than I bet you wouldnt make these foul comments towards me.
Because only a legit owner can, no, is allowed, to criticize a Honda product.
Anybody else STFU!

Ow, something else, very very VERY low of you to involve the Ducati thing....Rolleyes
Didnt expect that coming from you.
Seems in the end you dont have the real respect towards others, contrary to what i itially thought.
All those 'nice' words you said to me in my Ducato topic, have a very different meaning to pe now: that guy talks cuss'

PS:
I still own my Honda Zoomer
I bought myself a new Honda cager for my new job as well

I needed a car to daily, 80 miles a day, so it must be I kinda still have enough trust in 'Honda' ? Confused
How come when Formula One is on, I keep following the progress the Honda-powered cars?

Owning a Duc doesnt make me less of a Honda man.

Me criticizing stuff is just me, not what you make it out to be, some kind of Honda hater that loves to post here only when Honda stuff is failing.
Believe it or nog, I do the same with Ducati-stuff.

Bottom line, masks cameoff and you cant accept me criticizing on the CB while I dont ride one and switched to something else.
Clear as day.

Have a nice day but I have nothing to say anymore to you after your low rant.

so, no actually, wrong again
I'm not like that.

Go search my posts on the duc forums if you want
https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/forums/multistrada.6/ -> Riko is my nick
https://www.ducati.ms/forums/44-multistrada/ -> E-riko is my nick

In the end you're as biased as the worst of Duc owners

Good points, and I agree. Not sure what you mean about the EX not having spokes in North America though.
