I agree! I had my total hip replacement 3 years ago and boy pain free now! Doesn't help that the arthritis is in the other joints but the hip is good to go! Couldn't stand to sit on a bike before it was that unbearable but now it is amazing!

Ferret, your wife is home already!? WOW! Some turn around time! Here the quickest you get released is day 3. I had my replacement done on a Tuesday at 9:00am and was going home Friday morning at 9am! and I went home a day early at that time...

But as far as riding, I lived in Arizona for 18 years and would ride all the time. Even in the 120 degree weather. Sure you sweat, but I guess I was a die hard and rode. I didn't do major rides but it was a daily commuter to work.
