IF YOU GO

1. Stop and visit Starved Rock State Park.

2. As pretty as it is south of Peoria and while you'd miss Trixie's, you can make a great and a little shorter ride by turning north at Peoria. This could give you some off-bike opportunities.

3. Stop at Midway Duck Inn because I did not.

4. Stop at the Secret Lookout. It could be on Fondulac Road, but you didn't hear that from me.

5. Ottawa is a neat town. Try The Bee Hive for breakfast before your ride.
