Thanks for the kind words everyone, but go easy on the hero stuff
If this incident had to happen I was glad it was at the end of the tour and not at the beginning. By then we had seen and done all there was to do so we really didn't miss much.

I hope none of you are ever injured and have to go through something similar, but if you do, work hard on the physio or you will never get back to what you were.
If you want it, you have to work for it - and I wanted it!!

The crash didn't scare me off motorcycles and not once did I even think of giving them up. I was fit and strong once again so there was no reason to stop riding. I was not afraid nor had I lost any confidence.
My dear wife didn't say one word about me giving it up - although she may have been thinking that

In 2010 I spent two weeks riding through the Canadian Rocky Mountains on another BMW GS650 - without incident
