I respectfully disagree with the implication of your last point. I think we're seeing more smaller, less expensive (and China-, Thai-, and India-sourced) bikes because the manufacturers are catering more to Asian markets where bikes are an affordable form of transportation for the masses, in huge numbers. To your point, I think perhaps they're finally recognizing that they can sell a few of those bikes on our shores, too, especially in urban markets.
