Careful on those long trips.

They can be addictive. Especially when the machine is reliable and easy-going.

I started out thirty years ago, riding my new-to-me, 12-year-old R5C smoker around the block. Then, took it to work.

I just returned today from a 3000-mile round trip to Wisconsin from Montana. Self-preservation obligated I show face in the Badger State; and my impracticality obviated that I would "save money" by taking the CB.

I think I did, anyway. I got about 40 mpg...wide-open throttle about half the trip; sling-shotting along at over 85...that's how I justified the hotel rooms. Ah, well...
